Bun 1.4.5 released 2026-10-16 for Linux x64, Windows x64.
What each module does
Each page lists the platforms the module supports.
bun:adblock- Match network requests and cosmetic filters with Brave's adblock-rust engine, built into Bun.
bun:chromium- Chromium and Chrome CDP.
bun:cosmic- Use the COSMIC desktop from JavaScript.
bun:dotnet- Run the .NET SDK inside Bun, install and resolve .NET without scripts, run C# files, and call .NET assemblies from JavaScript.
bun:fetch- HTTP fetch with browser request headers; reports Cloudflare challenges without solving them.
bun:google- Google search and project contract.
bun:graph- Build, query and store code graphs of Rust, TypeScript, JavaScript and Markdown sources.
bun:graph-index- Code graphs of Rust, TypeScript, JavaScript and Markdown.
bun:graph-native- Code graphs of Rust, TypeScript, JavaScript and Markdown.
bun:graphx- Code graphs of Rust, TypeScript, JavaScript and Markdown.
bun:linux- Call Linux kernel interfaces directly from JavaScript.
bun:nginx- Validate, start, reload and stop an NGINX process from Bun.
bun:obscura- Chromium launcher sharing the bun:chromium owner.
bun:privacy- STAR threshold aggregation, Privacy Pass tokens and OPAQUE password authentication.
bun:python- Run Python files and the python CLI through a CPython host, embed CPython in the JavaScript process with bun:python, and compile Python with bun compile.
bun:rio- Rio-backed virtual terminal screen (Bun.RioTerminal).
bun:vitest- Vitest compatibility for bun test.
bun:wasm- WebAssembly surface of the Rust crates.
bun:windows- Call Windows interfaces directly from JavaScript.
bun:winrt- Call Windows Runtime (WinRT) APIs from Bun with bun:winrt, with namespaces projected on demand and async operations as Promises.
bun:winui- Open native WinUI 3 windows from Bun with bun:winui, load XAML, handle control events on the JS thread, and theme them with Fluent 2 tokens.
bun:yolo- Use bun:yolo to turn named yes/no, choice and score judgments into validated JavaScript values.
The tools Bun already has
Use each one on its own in an existing Node.js project, or all of them together.
bun run index.tsx- Run JavaScript, TypeScript and JSX on JavaScriptCore, with Node.js and Web APIs.
bun install- Install npm packages, manage workspaces and keep a text lockfile.
bun test- Run Jest-compatible tests with mocks, snapshots and watch mode.
bun build ./app.tsx- Bundle JavaScript, TypeScript, JSX and CSS for browsers or servers.
Bun.Video
Read media metadata, extract frames and create thumbnails in TypeScript. Native Rust decoding feeds the same resize, crop and encode pipeline as Bun.Image.
const video = new Bun.Video("clip.mp4");
const metadata = await video.metadata();
await video.frame(1).resize(320, 180).webp().write("preview.webp");
Orbital

96 frames at 24 fps (4.0 s) · 960×540 · H.264 MP4, 584 KiB · source
This clip and the others on the video page were rendered by Bun Video, frame by frame in Chromium and encoded to H.264 by FilmCraft, without FFmpeg.
